Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

Love going here with my kids because they get to choose their own food and there's no waiting for food to cook. The biggest downside which drives us away often is the place is so crazy busy at meal time that it's not worth fighting the crowd to get any food. Plus people are rude and cut in front of you if your in line and take forever navigating the buffets. I like the assortment of food. Chicken, pizza, dessert and salad bar. The wait staff is great at clearing plates and keeping the buffets stocked. A downside can be if there are lots of weird pizzas requested it can be hard to find normal pizza such as pepperoni on the pizza buffet. This place is good for people watching too. Everyone who goes to the state fair eats at pizza ranch. I've used the party room before for a birthday party. You get it for an hour and a half at no charge. Plus they will let you bring in your own cake. I've never done the delivery but I've picked up chicken a few times for home. Chicken is some of the best in town.

I worked here for over a year, but I will keep this unbiased. I have always enjoyed the many choice options, especially the Asian sesame fried chicken (I don't know if that's still available). The dessert pizza is also a big staple to the buffet, so save room for that. Lastly, there is a great range of pizza choices, so there's usually something for everyone. The buffet price is a tad overpriced, and sometimes the tables and chairs are dirty, but it's definitely worth a visit if you've never been to a Pizza Ranch location before.

I love Pizza Ranch!! I am really glad this has finally come to the area.. the only con is they do SO many fundraisers it's always overly packed and you have to wait forever for you faves, such as the cheese sticks. Glad to see they keep busy though.

I am a big fan of buffets, and an even bigger fan of pizza and chicken, so what could go wrong here? There is a great range of pizza options available, about 5 options plus cheese sticks. They also have salad bar, and hot food bar which includes fried chicken, mashed potatoes, corn, green beans, boasted potatoes, and BBQ chicken, and sometimes Mac and cheese. In addition, they include a desert bar with a few different kinds of desert pizza and ice cream. You cannot beat the variety for ~$10-$11, depending on time of day. It includes a drink! What a steal! They also have carry out and delivery pizza available, Along with chicken dinners. If they do not have the option of pizza you want available on buffet, you just tell them at the counter and they will make it for you and bring it out to you! They also have a few party rooms available for reservations, and on Monday nights, it is fundraiser night where a certain proceed of your meal goes to a local school or what not, where for example students/staff from that school are working to bus tables that night. The only negative thing I could say is sometimes the buffet is a little chaotic when there are people stepping in your way, or lite kids running around, but that's more of a personal thing of me having minimal patience, I would say.

Good varieties of pizza on the buffet, but if you desire something different, they make it for you & deliver it to your table. My favorites items are the delicious chicken & great potato 'chips' . Price is a bit high but the trade-off knowing you will love the food & leave satisfied is worth it! They also have a customer rewards card which is worth getting.

What's up with the painful forks that, if you didn't have arthritis before you certainly will after your meal at Pizza Ranch?? The fried chicken is wonderfully delicious, must admit. They do go out of their way to make the pizza you request which is nice. Please get normal cutlery---your forks suck.

Home cooked style fried chicken, pizza, mashed potatoes salad bar and deserts. Overall very good buffet at a fair price, I have visited there frequently and have always been pleased with the selection. At the front counter you can even request to have a custom pizza made for you and your group.

Great place for the family. The food tastes good...the chicken is very good and their pizzas are good too. You can order your favorite pizza even tho it is buffet style and they will bring it to your table first. There is also a menu to order from if you don't want the buffet. Sometimes the place gets extremely busy and that can get frustrating as you try to navigate around others to get what you want but since the food is good it is worth taking the risk that it will be busy. I never leave dissatisfied.

Good chicken. Forks hurt your hand when you cut things, it's like they are made of thin sheet metal that nearly cuts your hand. Some of the wait staff is really good while a few others ignore you when you ask for something, acting like you are beneath them. Too bad.
